Roof Insurance Claim Guidance in Oklahoma City
Tusk Roofing helps Oklahoma City homeowners understand the roof insurance claim process. We inspect and photo-document storm damage, explain it in plain English, and meet your adjuster on the roof to answer their questions. You file the claim and make the decisions with your insurance company. We then build the approved scope.
Guide: Can a roofer pay your deductible in Oklahoma? No. Here's why.

You file the claim. We do the climbing, the photos and the explaining.
Your insurance claim is between you and your insurance company. Our part is the roof: finding the damage, documenting it clearly, and explaining what it means. That gives you solid information to bring to your insurer and lets you make your own decisions.

Meeting your adjuster on the roof
When your insurer sends an adjuster, we can be there. We walk the roof with them, point out the hail hits and wind damage we photographed and chalk-marked, and answer the adjuster's questions about what we found. The adjuster and your insurance company make the coverage decision.

Oklahoma's deductible law, in plain English
Oklahoma law does not allow a roofing contractor to pay, rebate or waive any part of your insurance deductible, or to promise to. The law also requires the roofer to give you written notice of this with the estimate. Any roofer who offers to cover your deductible is breaking the law and putting your claim at risk. You pay your own deductible.

Questions
Insurance Claim Guidance FAQ
Will you file my insurance claim for me?
No. You file the claim with your insurance company. We provide the inspection, photos and plain-English explanation of the damage to help you understand what you're filing for.
Will you talk to my insurance company for me?
We don't represent you with your insurer. We can meet your adjuster on the roof, show them the damage we documented, and answer their questions about the roof.
Can a roofer pay or cover my deductible?
Not in Oklahoma. State law prohibits roofing contractors from paying, rebating or waiving any part of a deductible, and requires written notice of this with the estimate. Be cautious of any roofer who offers.
What if the adjuster doesn't see all the damage?
Questions about your claim decision are between you and your insurance company. We can share our photos and inspection findings with you so you have the information you need.
Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?
Many homeowners start with a free inspection so they know whether there's damage worth filing for. Either order works; the decision to file is yours.
